The Soldier at the Western Front – The Use of Poisonous Gas
Source 6: Caricature about gas use

The caricature entiteled “Gashahn zu!” (trans.: Close the gas tap!) was found in the written estate of Otto Möller and depicts two soldiers, on the left side a French soldier who is covering his nose and on the right side a German soldier who opens the gas tap and thumbs his nose. The caricature broaches the issue of the trench warfare on the western front. It probably originates from the pen of Paul Neumann and was drawn for the NCO Otto Möller. He was a member of the reserve hospital in Weimar during the war and received another caricature with a personal dedication on the backside and the same signature.
